Good morning Mom!

Yep I saw that Clayton and Rachael are getting married!!! When I saw the post I was like yooooooo and I got super excited haha! I had actually been praying for them just the other day and then I saw the news and it pretty much made my week! 11.22.22 is a pretty sick anniversary date!

Yeah, last p-day was super fun! Me and a bunch of the other elders went golfing and it was super fun. I'm going to attach a picture from golf below and I have more pics I just need to get them from other elders. I'll update yall on the teaching/proselyting in my group email later today. We have a zone activity this morning so I don't have a ton of right now. Unfortunately I haven't written in my journal for a couple of weeks cause when I get back to the apartment I just want to sleep haha. I can't remember if I told y’all last week, but I am living in a different apartment now with two other elders, Elder Johnston and Wardell along with my companion Elder Dell. Not really sure why we moved apartments, but it's fun living with more elders and the hot water in our shower actually works haha. One downside about the new apartment is that it’s pretty dirty, or at least it was until Elder Dell and I showed up haha. Elder Dell and I aren't really neat freaks, but compared to other elders we lowkey are haha. I am starting to see also that a lot of Elders really don't know how to take care of themselves like with laundry, doing dishes, or just even throwing trash away. I am super glad y’all taught me how to take care of myself because it makes missionary life way easier for me and Elder Dell has been very impressed with my cleanliness and independence. Sister Anderson, the housing coordinator, has even heard of me and Elder Dells reputation and she told us to thank our parents for raising us so well, so thanks haha.

So with transfers happening this week the zone pretty much stayed the same. My district has two new sisters and the other district has a new Elder and a new sister. Our zone leaders stayed the same, Elder Theurer and Elder Bair, which I was glad about because those Elders are super great! And my companion is still our DL. Because he's DL and he's only been in Yakima for a transfer he won't be leaving for a few transfers, so I'm pretty much guaranteed to go somewhere new next transfer. I guess that's all for now. Hi Mom!

Yeah it was great to see and talk to all of you the other day! That is so awesome for Abe! (Headed to serve a mission in Manilla, Philippines.) I'm sure the mission will be great for him! It has definitely been super great and even a little humbling for me, haha. Yeah Heidi was telling me about it! Joplin is a fun (cross country) meet. Dang that's so fun to hear how much my boys miss me haha. No they're serious sophomores haha. Yesss that is a fire talk! (The Meaning of Repentance by Theodore M. Burton.) I lowkey forgot about that talk so I am glad you liked it and reminded me about it! Yes I will keep being healthy so I can continue to work hard and serve to the best of my ability!

Good morning Mom! Yeah the weather here in Yakima is really starting to cool down and this week is supposed to be super nice. The only bummer is that because of forest fires in Oregon it is super smoky. Like right now I can't even see the sun because of the smoke. Also you can smell the smoke pretty strongly in the air. Yep that sounds like good ol’ Missouri Weather (50°’s lows, 90°’s highs). Yes I will have a great week! Dang Squish is so smart and cute haha.

Weekly Email - Yakima, WA

Hello friends and family!

Another week of missionary work! This past week was super great! Me and Elder Dell are starting to work and teach together really well. It's super cool to see how the Holy Ghost helps us to be in unison during our teaching! We are blessed to have had a lot of success lately and put our friend, Santiago, on date for September 17th. I am super excited for Santiago! He has a great desire to be baptized, which is super cool to see!

Something fun I did this week was go on exchanges with Elder Wardell. I actually came out with Elder Wardell so we are both super new missionaries. Our trainers thought it would be a good learning experience for us. It ended up being a great experience and we learned a lot! It was also a really big confidence boost because I was able to realize that I am more capable than I thought, haha!

Honestly this week, and the past week, have just been a blur. I really need to do a better job writing in my journal because I can barely remember everything that I did! Me and Elder Dell are teaching lots and meeting lots of great people! The work is really starting to pick up and we hope we get to stick together for the next transfer!

Hi Madre!

So this week has been another great week of missionary work. Me and Elder Dell are blessed to be in a area where lots of people are ready for the gospel. We work hard every day and have lots of fun too! Elder Dell is actually an amazing missionary and friend. It's kinda funny but his mannerisms actually remind me a lot of Carson. We get along great and he's also a really good example because he is super good at spirit led teaching. I've been on multiple exchanges, because he is the district leader, and he really has a gift for just letting the spirit guide him as he teaches. It's so cool and in the last week I've really started to help out in lessons more! We teach in unison and the spirit is definitely present. It would take too long to explain all the reasons why Elder Dell is an amazing companion haha but just know we both really hope we stay together next transfer so he can finish my training. 

I hear our football has been killing it this year! That's so great! I am about to email heidi and ask her about her first cross country race! Hope you guys don't miss me too much haha!
