What's up friends and family! I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas!
So the past few weeks have been
quite eventful. For starters I am now serving in Omak, Washington, which is
about an hour away from the Canadian border! I am also now in a trio which is
pretty sweet! My companions are Elder Camba and Elder Potter. They are some
great guys! On the Wednesday of transfers our companionship of Elders and
another companionship of Elders got our cars stuck in the snow which was really
unfortunate as we were stuck for a little over 6 hours and didn't make it to
our area until pretty late! I don't recommend getting stuck in the snow, but it
ended up being a super great bonding experience haha.
The ward in Omak is super great
and very welcoming! It is a little bit smaller of a ward, but it is very homey.
The area I am currently covering includes the towns of Omak, Okanagan, and
Grand Coulee. It is a pretty big area because Grand Coulee is an hour away from
our apartment! It is pretty cold up here in the north and I have seen lows in
the -20s and -30s...brrrrr. The good news is that it has been warming up and
this next week I think it might be above freezing for once haha!
As a missionary I get the unique
opportunity to be a full-time representative of my Savior, Jesus Christ. This
is an amazing thing always, but it is especially great during the Christmas
season! This Christmas season I have learned lots about Jesus Christ and His
life. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He is our Savior. Because of Him
we can find peace amidst the many trials and struggles we will face during our
mortal journey. Because of Him we can experience lasting happiness or joy. I
love Jesus Christ and I am so grateful that I get to serve him and His children
here in Washington. If anyone who reads this is considering serving a mission I
would tell them to just send it. I don't think you will ever regret choosing to
serve. I know that you will be blessed and taken care of as you serve. I love
you all! Merry Christmas! Have a great week!
