February 28. 20204 (I'm Just Saying )

What is up, friends and family!

I don't have a ton of time to write today because we went to the temple, but I'll try and fill y’all in briefly!

I don't really remember what happened the first couple days of the week lol (I need to write in my journal more, sorry mom). I'll just start with Sunday.

Sunday- We went to stake general priesthood meeting. Brother Laturner, the GOAT, drove us down. It was a very spiritual meeting and I had lots of good takeaways. We also had ice cream which is always a dub.

Monday- We found this dope homie named Dylan. Well, we actually found him last week, but we didn't really teach him until this week. He's going through some hard times, but we mega testified about the power of the Book of Mormon and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm super excited to keep working with him.

Tuesday- So I taught seminary Tuesday morning and it was super fun. The youth in our ward are wayyyy cool. I brought donuts and we played hangman to start so naturally they loved the lesson. We found another homie named Abraham on Tuesday as well. He thinks his wife might be interested too so that's hype.

Wednesday- WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE. I love the temple and I'm so grateful that we had an opportunity to go. It was honestly so spiritually uplifting. I hope I get a chance to go next transfer!

Alright a lot more happened then this, but I don't have any time lol. Grateful for y’alls support. Love you guys! Have a great week!

February 21st, 2024

What is up friends and family! As far as I can tell it's been 6 whole months since I've written one of these. Yikes. Filling ya’ll in on every little thing that happened is obviously unrealistic so I'll highlight the important things. So first off last September I went home for medical reasons. I ended up spending three transfers or about 4 1/2 months at home before coming back out the first of this month. While home I pretty much just worked and went to the temple. Not a bad life. I was able to make some money and strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. Being home for those few months was definitely not what I was planning on, but I know that Heavenly Father had a reason for it. Several actually. I definitely view the time at home as a blessing, plus I gotta be home for Thanksgiving and Christmas so that was pretty awesome. Gotta love the fam.

So like I said I came back out on Febuary 1st. It's so amazing to be back, but still lowkey feels surreal. I'm serving in Leavenworth, Washington with Elder Giauque (pronounced juke). The ward is actually awesome. Our area definitely could use some work, but it has a lot of potential. One guy we're working with that I'm pretty hyped about is this dude named Isaac. Isaac's dad was baptized a little over a year ago and now Isaac wants too as well. It's been super fun working with him and he asks such deep questions. Especially for a 14 year old. He doesn't have a date set for his baptism yet, but he is praying about it right now and I'm sure it'll be sometime soon. We have a few other friends we are teaching, but mainly we've just been finding and doing member visits. The members here are super awesome and are always trying to feed us. One of the families I actually baptized the mom's step-dad earlier in my mission so that was a pretty cool connection.

So I'll definitely try and be consistent with these from here on out (I still have about 10 months because none of my time at home counted), but no guarantees lol.

I love you all and hope life is treating you well!

February 14th, 2024

Hello Mom!

Haha Heidi definitely doesn't go to school lol. {Inside joke, but she had the day off for a Red Snow Day!} GO CHIEFS!! So I heard about {the Chiefs winning the Superbowl} when people started posting about it on their stories on Facebook. Naturally I got hyped haha. I definitely yelled out loud, let's goooo!

Yes I definitely need to write a weekly email! I have journaled like twice, but I really need to do more. Cause that would definitely make it a lot easier haha.

So I'm using my own phone! They got it all set up on my first day back. Yep, I can access my gmail account!

Yep I will have a fabulous Prep Day and a wonderful week! Happy Valentine's Day to you too Mom!! Holy cow I can't believe Easter is right around the corner. Easter is the most fire for sure. 🔥

Love you too Mom! Will do !

(Text that came with this picture: "We got to have these two wonderful missionaries over for dinner and a lesson. They both say hi, and Elder Adams says Heidi needs to go to school." 😂)

February 7th, 2024

Good morning mom! Yes it is exciting!

Yep my travels were great! Met some nice members in the airport who gave me snack food haha.

Yeah we're buying water bottles today, and I have all the chargers I wanted to take so we're chilling.

No worries about the questions! Gotta make sure I have everything I need.

Yes that is some good stuff! {Madre wrote, "Come Follow Me, 2 Nephi 2:1–3, 6–25. Lehi sharing his final testimony, and I was so amazed that it is all of the stuff that we hear and learn in the temple! I did not remember that before, and of course now all temple subjects make me think about you because of your Jan 2024 temple mission and the awesome talks that we had about temples!"} I'll definitely have to check it out this next week during one of my personal studies. The temples are the best! I'm actually going on Febuary 28th and Elder Child's and his comp are signed up at the same time!

Yep I got my weighted blanket! The cover is already at the mission office. Next week I'll get it at zone conference.

Yep I'm loving it out here!

Love you too mom!

P.s. I'll write an email today and ya’ll can hear what I've been up to. I took some photos but I'll get more in the coming weeks

Good morning Dad!

I love you too. Leavenworth is treating me well so far.

The ward is super awesome. I love our Bishop and his family. They have 5 boys and they are a ton of fun. We have like 4 friends we are teaching but that'll change soon. I'm not technically finishing training it's Elder Giauques 4th transfer but still the same time I am cause his last comps haven't been the best at all.

Yeah I have some pics and stuff that I'll share in my weekly today! Yep I will have a great p-day.

Oh I will have the most fun! (Dad said, "Have fun sharing the gospel with the ppl in Washington again.")

Love you too!
