February 27, 2023

Good afternoon Madre!

Sorry I haven't reached out until now! We have a zone preparation day today and we have to follow a schedule whenever we have zone preparation day, so I haven't had a chance to reach out until now!

This week I have been feeling a lot better and I'm 100% over my sickness now which is great!

I have temples on my mind 24/7 because the Moses Lake temple is a big deal out here! Like non-members and members alike talk to us about it which is way cool! I look forward to going again and I am confident I will be there at some point this year when the Moses Lake temple is done!

Dang, I had not heard about Jadyn's dad. That must be tough for her and her family, but I am glad that the community is surrounding them with love. We've always had a great little community in Kearney.  Whenever I hear about stuff like this happening it just reminds about how important it is to share our knowledge of the plan of salvation with others. On Sunday I actually gave a talk about the Plan of Salvation and on Friday we went over the Plan of Salvation with Rodney. Both those experiences really made me realize how amazing the Plan of Salvation is and increased my gratitude for it. Rodney is 83 years old and had never heard about the Plan of Salvation and it was amazing to see his excitement when he heard about it!

Rodney is doing amazing though! He just read Doctrine and Covenants and is absolutely on fire! Right now we are planning his baptismal service!

I've actually ripped up several carpets on the mission and it is oddly really fun to do, haha! I've also put down my fair amount of flooring so it's a shame I'm not there to help out! I received the picture you sent and it looks sweet! Also Heidi and her boys are so cute! I miss Harrison and I can't wait to meet Gideon! But no rush, haha.

I will have a great week! The prayers are felt and much appreciated! I love you Mom!

February 20, 2023

Good afternoon Madre! No worries about getting distracted... [we are] definitely relate haha!

Yeah for sure send some pictures when you are done with the flooring.. that should be pretty sweet! That is crazy that track is starting already! Time flies by so fast out here on the mission. Yoooo that's so sweet that there are 5 missionaries serving from our ward! I have the mineral drops and I have been drinking them a lot hahaha. Rodney is doing great! He has accepted a baptismal dates for March 11th so we are way excited to see him make that Covenant!

As far as general conference talks go, I love the talk "Sanctify Yourselves" by Elder Holland! The last paragraph is especially important to keep in mind as someone who holds the priesthood and as a missionary. I've also been reading the talk "To the Rescue: We Can Do It" by Elder Mervyn B. Arnold. Both those talks kind of focus on the responsibility and privilege we have to help "rescue" those who may be in need. Reading them helps me to stay motivated to do all I can to help serve others. I would highly recommend the first talk to dad, but the second talk 100% applies to everyone!

 I love you guys too! Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated! Keep praying for Rodney as he prepares for his baptismal date that he will follow through with it! -Elder Adams

Padre,

Yep I heard haha! {that the Chiefs won the Super Bowl} That's pretty cool! Yeah they had a Red Snow Day last time, too! {2019}

The work in Coulee is going good! We were able to put our friend, Rodney on date for baptism. We set the date for March 11th because we still need to teach him some stuff, but he is way ready to be baptized! We would greatly appreciate prayers for him that he will stay on-date and follow through with his decision to be baptized!

Elder Horrocks is a super great mission! We get along really well! Yeha that was a photo of us at Zone Conference in Ephrata! There was three zones there, Ephrata, Wenatchee, and Columbia!

Nothing is happening yet in Wilbur! We were supposed to meet with them on Saturday and they weren't home. We are trying to go by this next week!

My health and sleep are great! I can't believe it's February already.. pretty crazy!

Yeah I don't get a ton of time to read Come Follow Me, but I did teach Elder's Quorum with no prep time, haha! It went really smooth, and the Spirit helped out a ton. I like what you said about how our worship should be daily and not just on Sunday! Definitely super true. They aren't feeding us a whole lot (we haven't had a member dinner yet), but that's alright because we have gotten some referrals. Also all of our members live in Coulee City, 30 minutes away!

Love you too Dad! I will be safe!

Hello Madre!

Yep I heard about the Chiefs! Woohoo!

Yeah Clayton messaged me about running the 800m in the Spokane Whitworth Invitational . It's great that he is getting closer to where he needs to be! 1:58 is a solid time and definitely a step in the right direction!

That's way awesome for Carson... def made the wise choice and now he is forklift certified for Menards, haha! Yeah it looks like Heidi emailed me about her FBLA results! Woowoo state bound!!  {with her Human Resource Management test!}

I'm feeling pretty great! I will definitely make sure I am taking care of my health and helping my body feel good! Nah, Valentines day doesn't really mean anything for a missionary haha!

Yep up front and center in that picture at Ephrata zone conf! Yeah training is pretty great!

Love you too Mom! Have a great week!
