Hello Madre! Yes I always have loved Memorial Day! Crazy to think that June is just around the corner haha. Amen, God bless America!

Yeah, Heidi told me all about state track! She's gonna absolutely kill next year! That's so great that the girls team are STATE CHAMPS! Yo I forgot about Central Dairy... that place is the bomb! And good for the guys getting third place. Kearney track keeps repping hard.

That is good to hear that my email is making a big impact! I do try to write more often, but then I get a lil busy haha. Great to hear about the Johnson family... they are super great. Just keep loving them and ways to share the gospel will come naturally. I will try and write an email this week!

Have fun at Girls Camp! I will pray that you get some sleep haha. Love you too Mom! Happy Memorial Day!

Hello Dad!

Yep I am still in Eburg! I am with Elder Bradley, he's fresh out of the MTC. He’s from Illinois and is super great. Shola (the Nigerian) is doing super great and has been reading the Book of Mormon! I agree every should be a day when we remember/honor Him. Haha don't have too much fun while the girls are gone.

Love you too Dad! Sorry this email is shorter, I don't have a ton of time to write today haha. Have a great week! Happy Memorial Day!

May 22, 2023

Hello Mom! Yes that was my beautiful face (on facebook) haha... the sunset was also quite beautiful I must admit.

Yep that's super awesome for her! She didn't say she PRed with a 12:15 tho! That's way fast! Yes definitely let me know how state goes! She will do great things for sure.

That's so cool to hear! (Story the Kearney Ward sister missionaries told about seeing Cody’s friend from high school.) I wish I would've done a little more pre-mission to share the gospel, but I'm glad the little I did has been able to make an impact. Yeah that would be great to invite Landis's mom to church! We succeed in missionary work when we invite so just do it! That's super cool that Heidi has plans to go out with the sister missionaries! Should be an awesome experience!

Woah that is crazy I graduated a year ago... time flies by so fast. Hey that's good to know about Clayton and Rachael! {Today is Rachael & Clayton's 6 months anniversary.} I'll shoot Clay a message. I have committed myself to writing my weekly email today so that will be happening today ... I am a man of my word haha. When I send my email I will send you my photos! What is the best way to send them to you? Also I'll likely call today when I have access to a computer cause I think it is time to get new shoes.

I love you too Mom! Have a great day and week!

May 22, 2023 Letter to Family&Friends

Hello everyone, it has been a little while since I wrote an email so I figured I better write one! I don't have a ton of time, but I"ll try to fill yall in a little real quickly. I am in Ellensburg Washington now with Elder Bishop, the goat! He's from Pleasant Grove Utah and this is his second transfer. We are in a family ward and a YSA Branch. It's pretty great to be back in a YSA because I've spent more than half my mission in one. I guess President Welch likes having me in the YSA, I definitely enjoy it cause I get to meet with a lot of great people my age. Transfers are this Thursday, but I won't know if I am going or staying until tomorrow night. This area is super cool because it is a walking area and we are mainly on campus and student housing around campus. I've been able to meet tons of cool homies... they aren't always interested in the gospel, but most people are down to talk with us for a sec. Recently we got a referral for a homie named Shola (not sure if that's how you spell it), but he is the coolest person I've been able to teach on my mission! He's from Nigeria and is an international student here at CWU studying Geology. Shola is very humble and just exudes good vibes. We're meeting with him again next Saturday and he said he's pulling up to church on Sunday! Overall this area is super awesome and I hope I am staying for another transfer!

Quick lil spiritual thought:

This morning during my workout I was listening to the conference talk by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf titled "Lift Where You Stand" and this part stood out to me: "Brethren, as strong as you are, you cannot and you should not lift a piano by yourself. Likewise, none of us can or should move the Lord’s work alone. But if we all stand close together in the place the Lord has appointed and lift where we stand, nothing can keep this divine work from moving upward and forward."

It reminded my how important the role each of us plays in the Lord's work. Everyone is needed in moving the Lord's work along... and when we all "lift where we stand" nothing can stop the work of the Lord. I would invite you all to read this talk and think about how you can "lift where you stand".

Love y'all, have a great week!

What's up  Madre!

Yes it was super great to talk to you (on Sunday) too Mom! I hope your Mother’s Day was awesome! Oh and I hope you know how grateful I am for you and everything you've done over the years! I am grateful you taught me the gospel and how to work hard. Also fun fact a couple weeks ago our mission had a toilet cleaning contest and I won and got a gift card. So thanks for showing me how to clean, too haha. Seriously tho I am so blessed to have you as my mom!

I will keep up the good work! Yes I definitely need to share more pics with you haha. I've been doing better with taking them so now I just got to send them haha! I will have a great day and week! I love you tons!

Happy May Mom!

I can't believe that it's May already, the time is definitely flying by! Sounds like April was filled with blessings... it certainly was for me. Harrison is a man after my own heart haha. {In response to mom’s note saying - we got to see Harrison and Gideon on Sat and Sunday of last week. Harrison still talks about you and remembers everything about you. I have realized in the last couple of months that Harrison has your freaking amazing memory. He remembers stuff that we said to him, stuff we did, etc, from months before. It is crazy how much he remembers, and so fun to hear what comes out of his mouth.} I definitely look forward to meeting Gideon as well!

Yep i just responded to Heidi's email! Sounds like she's got a pretty sweet week ahead of her with Les Miserables and Track conference. Haha finals is happening here at CWU right now so it should be interesting to see how different campus looks after people head home for the summer.  Time is definitely flying fast... it's hard to believe that last May I was graduating.  It feels like legit last week haha.

I will definitely have a fabulous p-day! We are doing a hike later today as a zone so that should be chill! I will try and find time to write an email and also send photos to you!

As far as experiences that I'm having, Ellensburg is super great! I'm in a walking area and I essentially just cover the campus and like student housing around it! It's super fun, but definitely super different. They YSA here is super tight and they are way helpful with missionary work. We have a couple of friends we are meeting with, but lots of finding needs to be done. It feels like we basically reopened this area, but I've done that before so it's pretty chill. Elder Bishop is such a great missionary and has a powerful testimony of charity. I've learned lots from him already. Heavenly Father has definitely blessed me with awesome companions cause honestly I've never had any issues with any of them. It makes the work so much easier and we have lots of fun while we are doing it!

I love you too Mom! -Elder Adams

Good morning Dad!

So I'm over the ysa branch and a family ward! Reecer Creek is the family ward and the branch is the Kittitas Valley YSA Branch.

We don't have a ton of friends right now, that'll change soon, but we have this lady named Matilde who I think has a lot of potential. We've met with her twice and are trying to get her to church this Sunday. We are going to bring a member to  a lesson this week and have them invite her so it's more meaningful.

Elder Bishop and I are definitely slaying Eburg haha. It's a very interesting area, but we're figuring it out and learning lots. My testimony has grown a lot stronger in just the short time I've been here. Also being on the campus gives us a great opportunity to be in the world, but not of the world... especially as the weather warms up lol.

The mission really is an awesome experience. I will definitely remember this time for the rest of my life.

I love you too Dad! -Elder Adams
